Salam readers. Transportation always has been a problem to students. Most of the times during this holiday i stayed at home. Whenever i go out one of my friends always fetch me because i don't have my own means of transportation. I have a driving license but the problem is i don't have a car. There's only one car at home and that's my mum's and she goes to work everyday using that car. I kinda feel bad because my friends have to drive all the way down MRR2, up the holey hills of Ukay Perdana and pass the (sometimes fussy) residential guards just to arrive at my home. My friends always say, "Oh its no problem dude" but i know its still a troublesome work for them.
So i decided that i wanna do something about it. I stopped asking my dad to buy me my own car. Because i know what's his response gonna be like. But the other day, he said he would buy me a motorbike. Just a standard 150CC i guess. Motorbikes prices are incomparable to cars. They're much cheaper. But i myself don't really like motorbikes.. It's dangerous :O Actually, I don't know what's the deal with me against motorbikes.. I just, never thought of seeing myself riding a motorbike in my life.
I thought deeply of my dad's suggestion, and i agreed. Motorbikes can still get me to places i wanna go. And it will reduce the burden of my friends every time we're going out. And also if i get a part-time job anywhere someday inshaAllah, the bike will help a lot! So tomorrow i'm gonna to go to the driving school (my mum is going to drive me there) to register myself to get the license. The fee is fairly cheaper though because i already have a car license! Yay.
I'm not that enthusiastic because i still wanna have my own car :( But i guess i should just be thankful. Bak kata orang melayu, "dah bagi betis nak paha". If we received something we should just be thankful for it and not ask for more.. Ok. The end :D

I got REJECTED!!!
Do you know the feeling of being rejected? It made you feel like as if you're incompetent, disqualify, incapable, ineligible, inexpert and basically, u feel bad. And it sucks.
Well actually the above is not the reason why i got rejected. Yes i'm serious. This is the conversation i had on the phone with the person at subway just now. (The conversation was in malay, I hard-translated this)
Lady: Good afternoon sir. May i speak with Shuib?
Me: Good afternoon. I'm sorry, who?
Lady: Shuuib? Shuhaib?
Me: Yes yes i'm Suhaib.
Lady: Ok Mr.Suhaib, I believe you have applied for a job at Subway?
*Then blah blah blah unimportant stuff. Normal expected dialogue. But then..*
Lady: So what are you currently doing?
Me: I'm actually on a holiday. Gonna start uni on September.
Lady: So you're currently pursuing your studies?
Me: Yup.
Lady: Ok thank you for your time. Bye.
Me: ......
Even if i WAS rejected because i was incompetent, disqualify, incapable, ineligible or inexpert. I shouldn't be disheartened and should just accept the fact. I'm not good enough. Just have to improve myself and never give up in finding another job. Maybe i didn't get this job because there is a better job for me out there. Allah knows best :)
Assalamu'alaikum readers :)
The CFS website has just announced that our Semester 2, 2010/2011 exam results will be accessible through the student portal on 17th march after 5.00pm onwards.
I'm quite anxious right now. I'm expecting i can get or A or A- for all of my courses. That is:
- Maths 2
- Accounting 2
- Economics
- Computer 2
- Understanding Islam
p/s: A very close friend of mine fell in and she was just admitted to the hospital yesterday.. May Allah heal her.. Ameen..
Salam readers :) Ok so i am already in my 3rd week of my total 29 weeks holiday.. And there's not been much productivity..
Then there is a routine that i really wanted to do during this holiday. I would wake up in the morning, drive my bros to school AND straight to work! Yup work. A way to earn cash during the holiday. I prefer to find a part-time job that is related to store-keeping. I like taking care of stores, being a cashier, meet customers, re-arrange inventories and stuff like that. Not too tough. I would come back home some time in the afternoon. And then freshen up and then drive to a nearby language institute to study some Arabic. I'm planning to take Economics + Double Degree in Islamic Finance and that program requires the students to do some Arabic courses! I don't wanna go to Gombak later unprepared.. Then after the class i would go back home n spend some time online, watching tv and prepare myself for the next day :)
u guys miss this cool old hag? :D |
The last routine that i mentioned above have yet to be implemented by me.. I wish i could implement that routine as soon as possible! I don't wanna spend my whole holiday doing my first or second daily routine! Pray for me that i can find a job fast guys :) Thanks for reading. Salam.
